Three Roads to Dawn · Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 14, 2026
This policy explains how Three Roads to Dawn, published by Marmalade Bay Games, handles information. You can play without an account, purchases or advertising. Optional play analytics and optional ad offers have separate controls.
The short version
Your progress stays on your device. Share Play Data is off by default. Ad-enabled versions offer optional Unity rewarded ads after chapter victories, only after you allow them. We do not request access to IDFA or enable personalized advertising.
Data stored on your device
Campaign progress, settings, cosmetics, purchase entitlements, local diagnostics and rewarded-ad receipts are stored on your device. Reward receipts and limits prevent duplicate grants and recover interrupted deliveries. You can clear local diagnostics in Help and Settings. Deleting the app removes local data unless your device backup restores it.
Optional play analytics
If you enable Share Play Data, the game sends events about tutorial progress, chapters, waves, combat choices, store interactions, purchase outcomes and technical failures to PostHog's EU-hosted service. Events use a random device-level analytics identifier, not an account or your name. This is pseudonymous information used to improve onboarding, balance, reliability and purchase flow.
We do not send your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifier, passwords or payment-card details to PostHog. Session recording, screen capture, autocapture and advertising profiling are disabled. You can turn Share Play Data off at any time to stop new play analytics. This setting is independent of optional advertising.
Purchases
Apple processes optional in-app purchases. The game receives product and transaction identifiers, purchase status and entitlement status so it can deliver and restore eligible items. It does not receive payment-card details. Warden's Pass is restorable; consumed cosmetic currency is not part of Apple's restorable entitlements.
Optional rewarded ads
Ad-enabled versions let you choose to finish a Unity ad after a chapter victory for 5 cosmetic Dawn Embers. Offers are limited to one reward per victory and three completed rewards per UTC day, with at least three minutes between rewards. Ads require an internet connection. Declining or closing an ad does not remove earned chapter rewards, restrict the campaign or change combat difficulty. Ads never interrupt training or combat.
The Unity Ads SDK starts only after you allow optional ads in the game. Before initialization we disable personalized-advertising consent, opt out of data sale/sharing and enable non-behavioral mode. We do not request access to IDFA or supply your PostHog identifier, purchase transactions, contact details or an account identifier to Unity.
Unity and its bundled Ad Quality component process ad delivery and interaction information, device and connection information, approximate IP-based location, SDK identifiers and technical performance/diagnostic data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and diagnose ad quality. Unity's disclosures also cover support reports you choose to submit through an ad. These services may process data outside your country. The game does not request precise-location, contacts, microphone or camera permissions.
Turn Optional Ad Offers off in Help > Audio and accessibility to stop future ad requests. This does not retroactively delete provider data. Re-enabling offers returns to the in-game explanation before another request. See Unity's game-player privacy policy and the privacy icon inside an ad for provider practices and controls.
