Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the TypeDuel games handle your information. TypeDuel is a small, independent game studio. The short version: we don't make you create an account, and we don't collect personal information that identifies you.
The short version
No account required. No sign-up, no login, no profile. We don't ask for your name, email, or contacts. Your game progress is stored on your own device.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require or create user accounts.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location.
- We do not sell your personal information. We never have and never will.
Information handled by the game
- On-device game data. Your progress, settings and unlocks are saved locally on your device (and in your private iCloud backup if you have that enabled). We can't read it.
- Anonymous product analytics. We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated usage and diagnostic data — for example "a level was completed" or "the app crashed here" — so we can fix bugs and improve the game. These events aren't used to identify you.
Apple services
- In-app purchases. Where a game offers purchases, payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card or billing details.
- Game Center / leaderboards. If you choose to use leaderboards or achievements, that feature is provided by Apple Game Center under Apple's own privacy policy. We only see anonymized scores and the nickname you chose there.
Advertising
Our games have no forced ads. Some games offer optional rewarded ads you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus — you're never required to watch one. Optional ads are served through Google AdMob and Unity Ads. If you watch one, the ad provider may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show and measure that ad.
You control this on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising. If you don't allow tracking, you may still see non-personalized ads.
Service providers
These third parties may process limited, non-identifying data to run features you use:
- Apple — app distribution, in-app purchases and Game Center (privacy policy).
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (privacy policy).
- Google AdMob — optional rewarded ads (privacy policy).
- Unity Ads — optional rewarded ads (privacy policy).
Children
Our games are family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we don't require accounts or collect identifying information from anyone, there is nothing for a child to submit. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll address it.
Data retention & security
We keep the little data we handle (anonymous analytics) only as long as it's useful, and we apply reasonable measures to protect it. Because your game progress lives on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting the app.
Your choices
- There is no account to delete — uninstalling the app removes your local data.
- You can turn off ad tracking using the iOS Tracking settings above.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll change the date at the top. Continued use of the game after an update means you accept the revised policy.
