Seat Yourself has no accounts, asks for no personal information, and shows no ads. It does collect anonymous data about how the game is played, so we can see which parts are too hard or too dull. You can switch that off in Settings at any time, and the game plays exactly the same either way.
Anonymous gameplay events — what you started, whether you finished it, how long it took, and similar. These go to PostHog, an analytics service, and are stored on servers in the European Union.
Each install is given a random identifier generated on your device. It is not your Apple ID, your email, your name, your phone number, or your device's advertising identifier, and it is not connected to anything outside this game.
You can stop this entirely at any time: open Settings in the game and switch off Share anonymous stats. The choice is remembered, and nothing further is sent from that moment on. Nothing in the game is locked behind analytics.
Your progress and settings are stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
If you have iCloud enabled, the game also keeps a copy of your progress — stars, streaks, and unlocked hats — in your own private iCloud storage, so it follows you between your devices. That copy stays inside your Apple account. We cannot see it, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game submits your total star count to a leaderboard and reports which trophies you have earned. Apple handles this under your Game Center nickname; we never receive your Apple ID or your real name. If you are signed out of Game Center, the game simply skips it.
There are none. Seat Yourself has no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads, so we never receive or store payment information.
Seat Yourself is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Because we hold no account and no identifying information, we generally cannot locate “your” data on request. The most reliable way to stop collection is the Settings switch described above. If you would like the anonymous records from your install excluded, email us and we will do what the data allows. Deleting the app removes everything held on the device.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes with it.
